One of the highlights of our winter is travelling to Camp Wheeler. Unfortunately, it seemed we had more snow back home than we did up north on our camp weekend, but we didn't let that stop us from having a great time. We practiced building shelters (and some of our scouts slept outside in them), the scouts helped teach the cubs how to build a fire to cook lunch. The sky was beautifully clear for star-gazing at night during our campfire.

A trip to Wheeler winter camp is not complete without a hike to "Ghost Island" for some wide-games fun!

Bannock with chocolate chips was a delicious treat!
